Mode of transmission :~

▪Direct contact with infected lesion, or contact with infected blood.

▪Intrauterine vertical transmission from mother to fetus.

▪Once the organisms reach circulation, there is rapid systemic spread via blood and lymphatic to reach different organs.

👉 TREATMENT 

♤ Benzathine penicillin G 2°4 million unit IM in a single dose.

♤ Doxycycline 100mg BID for 2 weeks in non pregnant patient with penecillin allergy.
